Meet the Nellie Mae Education Foundation

Speakers Bureau 2025-2026 Cohort

Over the past several years, the Nellie Mae Education Foundation has welcomed a new cohort of education leaders into our Speakers Bureau community. This year, we are thrilled to officially announce and welcome the 2025-2026 cohort of speakers who are committed to advancing racial equity in the public education system. At a time when both learning and teaching is under threat, their voices are more important than ever. This year’s cohort brings together experts from across the region committed to fighting for an equitable education system for all students. The cohort is a respected group of education, youth, and community leaders who are leading the effort to dismantle structural racism and implement more equitable solutions in our education system. They each have unique backgrounds and different perspectives to offer, but are all committed to helping students thrive.

Welcome to the 2025-2026

Nellie Mae Speakers Bureau Cohort!

For too long, the people who have experienced the worst injustices in public education have been systematically left out of the decision-making process. The Nellie Mae Speakers Bureau seeks to amplify the voices of students, parents, community advocates, and educators. We share the promise and reality of New Englanders to draw attention to issues impacting students and schools, as well as point to what’s working. Their stories and insights shine a light on pain points and promises. We could not be more excited and thrilled about this new cohort of diverse thought leaders with the passion, expertise, and fortitude to shape the education ecosystem.

We encourage you to consider engaging with a member of the Speakers Bureau.

Learn how young people have campaigned for a more culturally relevant curriculum and civics studies in their education. Hear from parents who are working with families to insert their voices into school and district decision-making. See how a flipped classroom promotes ownership over student learning, and how district and community partnerships can create internship and extracurricular opportunities for students to thrive in school and beyond.

Ensuring all students have access to an excellent public education requires the collaboration of educators, families, communities, and students to prepare all young people for successful futures. The Nellie Mae Speakers Bureau is for all audiences interested in championing efforts that challenge the notion that race, ethnicity, class, geography, or any other sociocultural factor would predict whether a child receives a high-quality education or their experience in the classroom and beyond. https://nmefoundation.org/speakers-bureau/
