OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

WE EMPOWER THE GREATEST MINDS

Greatest MINDS is a networking organization of educators, activists, entrepreneurs, young professionals, artists, and community members. Our mission is to provide mentorship and guidance to citizens and first-generation college students seeking to become active and successful contributors to civil society by giving them access to college, career, and community networks. We achieve this by promoting intergenerational dialogue through developing programs, forums, initiatives, campaigns, and conferences that highlight the issues of race, socio-economic class, and gender identity in urban cities and on college campuses. Through our collaborative process, we work towards solving these social justice issues by developing a more democratic and inclusive economy.

OUR PROGRAMS

Our programs, events, and symposiums prove that people can work together to make us challenge our own assumptions of racial, cultural, and gender identities to make a more welcoming community and campus environment embracing diversity and inclusion. All races, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds participate in our programs and events. Join our Mentor Volunteer and Participate (MVP) Programs with Greatest MINDS. Here are some examples of our projects and programs.

MENTOR

Middle School & High School Students

Our Greatest MINDS program provides mentors to groups of middle school and high school students ages 13 to 18, allowing them to learn new technology skills while embracing working and studying together in teams to do homework, classwork, and community assignments. We also provide college students and young professionals who are crucial role models, especially for African American boys and young men. Through our signature College, Career & Community Program and its online and in-person sessions at community sites, students will participate in mentoring and tutoring from highly accomplished African American professionals from their neighborhood and receive traditional training in STEAM activities.

VOLUNTEER

College Students

Our Greatest MINDS works with all young people ages 19 to 24 especially first-generation and minority college students. The organization has partnered up with staff, students, faculty, and alumni from local universities, and community members to provide valuable mentors and guidance for those who seek access to college, career, and community networks to succeed in life. The Greatest MINDS gives our college students opportunities to network and transition from college to career.

Young Professionals and Alumni Building Bridges, Outreach, & Belonging and with Corporations, Colleges & Universities, Community Organizations, and Government Agencies

Our Greatest MINDS Impact Fellows Program members provide crucial networks for
emerging leaders, ages 25-39, to become economically self-sufficient and meaningful contributors to society.  Our program enables members to engage with community-based organizations, corporations across industries, college and universities, civic-based groups, and government agencies — united to have a meaningful impact on the experiences of underserved and underestimated communities across identities.  We work to ensure our members, students, and alumni feel comfortable in any space—from the workplace to the classroom and in the public square–and strive to engender a sense of belonging so each individual is positioned to exercise their greatest gifts.  Through targeted outreach, workshops, trainings, and seminars, our young professionals and alumni are equipped with the social capital and skills required to compete in an evolving, global economy across industries and disciplines, including education, business, sciences, entrepreneurship, and technology. Our success is hindered by every member having the agency to market themselves, thrive, and impact any space they operate in.

TESTIMONIALS
What I like about Greatest MINDS is their focus to engage high school students to look at attending HBCU's by doing tours to show that these schools are just as outstanding and viable as non-HBCUs. They also helped with college applications. And it provided a space for current students and alumni to gather and share their experiences and network.

Democracy Drinks w/ Partners in Democracy, Greatest MINDS & Voter Choice MA & Guest Chip Greenidge

Join George "Chip" Greenidge, Jr. of Greatest MINDS and a group of community leaders as we talk about democracy and where we go from here! We need your voice and your discussion points! Snacks and drinks! Show up! Bring friends! Location: Right in Fields Corner by the MBTA Red Line Train Station! This is a promotional invite for those who care about democracy and community. All views and ideologies are welcomed. - Chip Greenidge We know you're overworked, overtired, and running on sheer passion—because we are, too. That’s exactly why Democracy Drinks exists. This isn’t another panel, action item, or endless meeting. It’s a low-pressure, high-impact space where democracy advocates, civic organizers, and policy leaders can take a breath, share a drink, and actually connect. There will be no fundraising or formalities—just real conversations, good company, and the relationships that make this work sustainable. Each month, we’ll bring together Boston’s pro-democracy community for a laid-back evening of networking, idea-sharing, and maybe even a little inspiration. Whether you come to vent, strategize, or be among people who care as much as you do, you’ll leave feeling recharged and reconnected. Who’s Invited: Anyone working to strengthen democracy and civic engagement. We know work never stops, but building relationships and sharing ideas in a relaxed environment makes all the difference. Let’s make this movement smarter, stronger, and more connected together. This is a promotional invite for those who care about democracy and community. All views and ideologies are welcomed.
